Before you send a commercial contract to anyone, you should know who reads it and what part of the work is done by software. This page answers that directly.
Who actually reads my contract?
A qualified commercial lawyer. Every review and draft is handled by a lawyer with formal legal training — not a paralegal, not offshore administrative staff, and not an AI on its own.
What does the AI do?
The AI performs the first pass. It reads the document, identifies clauses, flags terms that commonly carry risk, and produces a structured risk summary — which is what you get free on upload, before you pay for anything.
What does the AI not do?
It does not decide what matters for your situation, it does not sign off on a review, and it is not the deliverable. A human lawyer reviews and approves every paid output before it reaches you. AI output can be wrong — the Terms describe this directly — which is precisely why a person checks it.
Can I ask for a human to look at an AI result?
Yes. You retain the right to request human review of any AI output by contacting support@contractdesk.in.
